Mission Statement:
It is the mission of the Autism Directory Service, Inc. (ADS) to
educate and assist individuals with Autism
Spectrum Disorders* and their families in gaining information,
services, and social networks that will offer them the support needed to
successfully achieve their life’s goals by:
-Providing a networking venue for families of
individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
-Educating the public about the neurological
disability known as Autism Spectrum Disorder
-Assist in raising funds designated for the
purpose of providing support, research and information materials which will
assist individuals with autism and their families.
*Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
is a disorder that either meets the strict criteria of autism, or is a related
disorder that falls under the “umbrella” of pervasive developmental disorders
but does not meet the strict criteria of autism, such as Aspergers Syndrome,
PDD, PDD-NOS, and more.
